So I just want to chat about desk inspo here. I am currently updating my work space to bring a bit of color and light to a dull area and naturally I started with plants because I recently discovered that I can actually keep plants alive if they require little water and light. So yippy, I purchased a bunch of indoor plants!
I’m super stoked to see how my it will turn out and I am a firm believer in designing a work space that fits your personality and inspires creativity. So naturally, I first took to Pinterest for desk inspiration. Here are a couple pictures I found that were like ultimate inspo:
I love all the greenery, the white space, picture hanging of great memories and the wood desks so thus I started on my creative journey to having the most Pinterest worthy desk.
I went to Walmart and Fred Meyer on a quest to find the most adorable succulents and indoor plants.
Small Cactus was $4.99 at Walmart and I bought two of these. The small white pot I bought at the thrift store for $.29 and then I painted it white with waterproof paint I found in my closet. Tree stump was also from the thrift store for $.39
Bought these succulents at Fred Meyer. One on the left was $2.29 and the two on the right were $3.50 each. *I found that the succulents and indoor plants were cheaper at Fred Meyer and they had a larger selection* Both pots were purchased at the thrift store for $.69 and $.99 and then I painted them white again.
This aloe plant was purchased at Walmart for $7. I thought it was a bit overpriced for the size but it came with the white pot.
The plant on the left was purchased at FM for $2.99 and the two right ones were from Walmart for $5.00. All pots were purchased at the thrift store for no more than $4 total and I painted the middle one.
This little guy was part of the bundle I bought at FM and the little shot glass I have it in was purchased on my recent trip to Barcelona, Spain for $3.00.
So my first step for my desk remodel was to purchase the colorful aspects of it, let the plants settle into their new home. Next on the agenda is taking all the Polaroids I’ve accumulated over the years and hanging them above my desk, buying a pretty wallpaper for the space, giving my current desk some much needed TLC, and designing some inspo posters! I will keep you guys updated on my creative process and what DIY I’m doing next for my creative space.
Follow me on Instagram for updates I won’t be blogging about! They’ll be posted on my story!
